if the existing user name is not displayed in the window , but if we try to add with same name and password it saying that that user already exists ,then how to delete that usr account.

Unfortunately Samba Gui Configurator is not working with lastest Ubuntu 6.10!!! The shares doesn´t show up, the users also doesn´t show up, seams that the changes are still being saved, but the GUi it self isn´t working properly.

I have installed Mandrake 8.0
I have installed Mandriva up to 10.1,
I have installed Suse
I even have installed puppy.

I have NEVER had such a bad time installing Samba.
If UBUNTU chooses not to provide a working GUI for configuration with automised finding of other computers for Samba, they are dead on the desktop. Everybody has Windows PSs networked in his house.

I have been trying to get it running now for 2 nights, and think about ging to yellow dog linux.

I downloaded your source from http://socg2006.googlepages.com/ubuntu-config-samba but I can’t run it.
I used this command
python mainWindow.py
and I got this error:

why don’t you add a new python file with a good name that initialize your application. something like gui-samba.py
